I just completed a segment with Rhonda Schaffler on Bloomberg Television The Bloomberg Report this afternoon. Topic was the subprime mortgage market shakeout and it's implications on the housing market. Bottom line is this: The subprime crash hits the low income and low-end of the housing market. As of today, the crash has not impacted pricing in the broader housing market. But we see the ripple effect extending several years into the future as the first time home buys are squeezed out now don't become trade-up buyers in the future.
